Oral Prophylaxis is nothing but cleaning of teeth and gums. Lot of tartar or dental calculus, plaque or microbial growth over the teeth and in between the gums creates lot of dental problems like bad breath, bleeding in the gums, etc. Lot of microbes gets accumulated in this tartar and plaque which causes other diseases thereby affecting our general health. By Oral prophylaxis, we clean all the unwanted debris around the teeth thereby making the teeth and gums healthy. Oral prophylaxis or cleaning of teeth and gums is recommended once in six months.

Fracture of the jaws
Surgical reductions of fracture of the jaws

Any trauma can induce a fracture or a crack in the jaw bones. A fracture in the jaw bone has to be reduced and immobilized so as to have a proper union and to have a proper function. Surgical reduction of fractures of the jaws may be done by simple wiring of the teeth or by placing plates in the jaw bone.
